Job summary

Walmart in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician to support a busy distribution center. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment inspections, and safety compliance across facilities and machinery.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, 2 years plumbing experience, and a Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent. You will participate in an on-call rotation every 4–6 weeks and ensure regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.
• 2 years’ experience in the plumbing trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in good standing in the state of work.
• License in related trade in city and/or state of work.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operation of a facility and performs related duties.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures using multiple crafts.
• Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors and records purchases and usage.
• Demonstrates compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Maintains a safe work environment and coordinates with managers and stakeholders.
• Participates in on-call rotation approx. every 4–6 weeks to support after-hours needs.
