Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the Howard County Circuit Courthouse in Ellicott City, MD. This on-site leadership role focuses on safe, efficient operations, fiscal discipline, and proactive lifecycle planning of assets.

The position requires strong client communication, contract understanding, and the ability to lead an operations team toward continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent facilities management experience.
• 10+ years of progressive responsibility in facilities management.
• BOMA and/or IFMA designation (RPA/CFM) preferred.
• Proficient with Windows-based software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations and communications with the client.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance programs and lifecycle planning.
• Manage budgeting, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Oversee subcontractors, contracts, cost control, and KPI reporting.
• Provide guidance to the operations team and read blueprints.
