Job summary

University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking a Facilities Mechanic III to maintain student apartments, residence halls and dining centers. Under supervision, you will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks to keep buildings safe and fully functional.

Required four years of craft experience (two in the same trade), basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, steam and mechanical systems; Iowa license preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, maintenance of steam and mechanical equipment.
• Four years of work experience in the listed crafts, including apprenticeship or technical training.
• At least two years of that experience must be in the same craft.
• State of Iowa license (Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and all other duties needed to maintain student apartments, residence halls and dining centers.
