Job summary

Lighthouse Electric Company, Inc. in the Pittsburgh area seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee seven facilities across three states, providing centralized leadership for maintenance, space planning and vendor relationships while partnering with company leadership.

This hands-on, multi-site role requires establishing standards, managing annual operating and capital budgets, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive facilities management experience
• Experience overseeing multiple facilities across geographic markets
• Ability to develop longer-term facility plans and processes
• Strong working knowledge of building systems, maintenance, vendor management and project management
• Experience developing or managing facility-related budgets, contracts and capital improvement projects
• Experience using facilities or workplace technology platforms and MS Office
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to independently manage priorities and adapt to changing needs
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide overall functional leadership for facility operations across Lighthouse locations
• Develop a facilities approach that aligns with company operations, employee needs and growth
• Create and maintain company-wide facility standards, policies, procedures and best practices
• Establish scalable processes that improve consistency, visibility and accountability across locations
• Serve as the primary internal resource for facilities matters and mentor designated facility contacts
• Work with senior leadership to evaluate current and future facility needs and priorities
• Help ensure facility decisions and investments support the business needs
• Oversee ongoing facility operations including maintenance, building systems, security, janitorial services and workplace amenities
• Develop and coordinate preventive maintenance programs and tracking of issues
• Oversee space planning and facility utilization as needs change
• Establish and maintain furniture and workplace standards across the organization
• Partner with Safety and other stakeholders to meet safety/environmental requirements
• Develop, manage and monitor annual operating and capital budgets related to facilities
• Maintain awareness of facility conditions and identify maintenance needs
• Lead renovations, relocations, expansions and capital projects across locations
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners for facility projects
• Travel to facilities and market locations as needed (up to 30%)
• Develop and maintain organized records related to facilities, vendors, assets, leases and contracts
• Evaluate facility costs, vendor performance and overall operational effectiveness
