Medtronic in North Haven, CT seeks a Senior Facilities Manager to lead campus facilities operations, utilities, infrastructure, and workplace services. Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for all campus facilities operations, including utilities, infrastructure, workplace services, and building systems
  • Ensure reliable, compliant, and cost-effective support for manufacturing, laboratory, office, warehouse, and critical support environments
  • Lead the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of facilities, equipment, machinery, and site infrastructure
  • Develop and manage facility operating plans, budgets, and project schedules, including forecasting labor, materials, equipment, and related costs
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve policies and procedures that support efficient and compliant facilities operations
  • Oversee space planning, building layout, communication services, and facility expansion efforts to meet evolving business needs
  • Partner closely with site and functional leadership to support capital investments, business continuity, regulatory readiness, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing facilities team while managing outsourced service providers to deliver strong performance and accountability
  • Evaluate team capability, build organizational strength, and ensure the function is staffed and structured to meet current and future business demands

A Day in the Life

Join Medtronic and play a critical leadership role in shaping the performance, reliability, and future of our North Haven campus. As Senior Facilities Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and workplace services that support a complex and dynamic site environment.

In this highly visible role, you will help ensure the safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective operation of manufacturing, laboratory, office, warehouse, and other critical support spaces. You will lead a team of facilities professionals and manage key outsourced service partners, while working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Finance, Security, and Supply Chain to enable business continuity, support growth, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

This role is based at our North Haven facility.

Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of Facilities experience OR advanced degree and 5+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Multi million dollar budget management
  • Capex planning and execution
Nice to Have
  • Certified Facilities Manager, Facilities Management Professional or equivalent certification
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Advanced Degree/MBA
  • Certified Energy Manager Certification
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities
  • Experience with a regulated industry, ideally med device
  • Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, or electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell)
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or ISO-classified environments

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.

Benefits & Compensation
Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$134,400.00 - $201,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
