Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across facilities. You will oversee schedules, mentor associates, and coordinate with contractors while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves hands-on maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment systems, plus budget oversight and continuous improvement to support efficient operations at Walmart and Sam’s Club locations.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSA, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
• Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
