Job summary

Jabil seeks a Senior Facilities / Maintenance Technician for our Richardson, TX plant. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems across the facility.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, installing utilities for production moves, and supporting Industrial Engineering with line configurations. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; HVAC Certification or Electrical License preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in heating, cooling, HVAC, industrial electricity, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Willingness to work overtime on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
• Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment related problems and monitor the air handling system.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks on time and assist in equipment moves when needed.
• Respond to facilities-related requests from employees and work safely following EH&S standards.

Jabil is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities / Maintenance Technician for our growing plant in Richardson, TX.

How will you make an impact?

As a Senior Facilities / Maintenance Technician with Jabil, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.

• Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform routine repairs on air handling and other facility systems, including repairing and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, pipes, etc.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment related problems.
• Monitor the air handling system.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
• Install utilities to production equipment online moves.
• Add air ducts on manufacturing lines when required.
• Assist in Industrial Engineering and Machine Support in line configuration and equipment moves.
• Assemble/disassemble cubicle walls and partitions.
• Respond to requests for help from employees with Facilities-related tasks.
• Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience: High School Diploma Required At least 2 years of experience working in heating, cooling, HVAC, industrial electricity, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases. HVAC Certification or Electrical License are required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to work under tight deadlines with frequently changing priorities and interruptions.
• Ability to work with all A/C voltages.
• Ability to utilize advanced tools and follow procedures for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns is required.
• Ability to read mechanical & electrical schematics, troubleshoot equipment issues is required.
• Willingness to work overtime on occasion.
