Job summary

Jabil in Richardson, TX is seeking a Senior Facilities / Maintenance Specialist to lead preventive maintenance and repairs across the plant, ensuring reliability of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical systems.

The role requires 5+ years in heating/cooling, HVAC, refrigeration and related fields, with an HVAC Certification or Electrical License. You will troubleshoot, install utilities for production moves, and support industrial engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 5 years of experience in heating, cooling, HVAC, industrial electricity, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases.
• HVAC Certification or Electrical License required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform routine repairs on air handling and other facility systems; repair and replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, pipes, etc.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment related problems.
• Monitor the air handling system.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
• Install utilities to production equipment during online moves.
• Assist in Industrial Engineering and Machine Support in line configuration and equipment moves.

Jabil is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities / Maintenance Specialist for our growing plant in Richardson, TX.

How will you make an impact?

As a Senior Facilities / Maintenance Specialist with Jabil, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.

What will you do?

• Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform routine repairs on air handling and other facility systems, including repairing and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, pipes, etc.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment related problems.
• Monitor the air handling system.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
• Install utilities to production equipment online moves.
• Add air ducts on manufacturing lines when required.
• Assist in Industrial Engineering and Machine Support in line configuration and equipment moves.
• Assemble/disassemble cubicle walls and partitions.
• Respond to requests for help from employees with Facilities-related tasks.
• Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma Required
• At least 5 years of experience working in heating, cooling, HVAC, industrial electricity, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases.
• HVAC Certification or Electrical License are required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to work under tight deadlines with frequently changing priorities and interruptions.
• Ability to work with all A/C voltages.
• Ability to utilize advanced tools and follow procedures for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns is required.
• Ability to read mechanical & electrical schematics, troubleshoot equipment issues is required.
• Willingness to work overtime on occasion.
