Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Facilities in Reed City, MI. You will lead maintenance, die shop, and plant engineering teams across shifts, standardize practices, and manage safety and compliance.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, cost control, and capital projects to support manufacturing operations. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in facilities maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, TPM/Lean knowledge, and the ability to train staff and implement SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years in facilities and equipment maintenance.
• Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude with PLC knowledge.
• Knowledge of TPM/Lean and hydraulics/electronics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, plant engineering, and die shop teams across shifts.
• Standardize maintenance practices, preventive programs, and CMMS usage.
• Manage facility budgets and identify cost reductions.
• Lead capital investment projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure OSHA and company policy compliance and safety training.
• Develop SOPs and technical training for a professional maintenance team.
