Job summary

The Huntington seeks an Associate Director of Facilities to lead a 24/7 campus operations team across 200 acres and 600,000 square feet. You will oversee maintenance, safety, environmental controls, and emergency response, ensuring that historic galleries, libraries, and offices run reliably and safely.

Responsibilities include managing a $7 million operating budget, supervising engineers, custodial staff, and contractors, and advancing preventive maintenance, capital renewal, and sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination may be considered.
• Deep knowledge of facilities operations, building maintenance, and trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, blueprints, and codes; strong safety and regulatory compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for safe, reliable, cost-effective facilities operations.
• Oversee maintenance of galleries, libraries, offices, and public areas with emphasis on climate control and preservation.
• Lead facilities staff, mentor teams, and manage contractors and vendors to ensure high service standards.
