Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College seeks an Associate Director to oversee facilities management, directing maintenance, operations, and capital projects to keep college buildings safe and functional. You will supervise trades staff, manage Budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, ensuring timely response to emergencies, and maintaining BAS/CAD/BIM systems. Strong leadership and strategic planning are essential for campus-wide facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of facilities management experience with leadership.
• Experience supervising skilled trades, contractors and project teams.
• CAD/BIM proficiency preferred.
• APPA CEFP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of college buildings and utilities.
• Manage campus FMX work order system.
• Lead budget management and cost control for maintenance and projects.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA and building codes.
• Coordinate large capital projects and after-hours on-call duties.
