Walmart seeks a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team in Alpena, MI. You will oversee site work, define scopes for various crafts, and mentor junior associates while diagnosing issues and performing repairs on facilities equipment.

You will maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and customer service while coordinating with stores and teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in one of the trades (plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade) or 7 years’ experience in one of these trades.
• Valid Driver’s License. Eligible for a CDL.
• 1 year’s experience with intermediate word processing/spreadsheet/presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Use the work order system to receive and document repair work.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities/equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.
