Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Engineering Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale facility and infrastructure projects. You will manage internal and external engineering teams, ensure scope, schedule, and cost alignment, and contribute to value engineering and risk management.

Travel to remote sites is required, and onsite work is essential. The role demands strong technical leadership, communication skills, and experience with project controls,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture plus five or more years of experience or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of Project Management.
• Experience with project management practices including project plan development, integration management, scope management, scheduling management, cost estimation and management, communications planning and management, risk and opportunity management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Using strong engineering and architectural expertise to complete facility and infrastructure projects with high-rigor management.
• Lead the project team of internal or external engineering and architectural personnel to ensure scope, schedule, and cost requirements are met per DOE Orders and Sandia's requirements.
• Contribute to value engineering proposals to reduce project costs.
• Work closely with project controls staff to identify and address risks, opportunities, and issues during execution.
• Make technical and programmatic decisions regarding project direction and be accountable for the results.
