Job summary

ABM is seeking a facilities operations leader to manage day‑to‑day mechanical and technical work at a commercial facility in Newark. You will implement client objectives, support energy initiatives, and ensure accurate reporting and billing while upholding safety and QA standards.

Candidate should have 5+ years of field experience with prior management, excellent communication, and strong customer service skills; experience with union and non‑union rules is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field with prior management experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a customer‑focused team environment.
• Ability to work with and understand union and non‑union employment rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day local workforce, including mechanical and technical operations.
• Implement client objectives and support energy initiatives.
• Ensure accurate AES billing and budgeting; oversee scheduling.
• Supervise QA and safety programs; ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide leadership and career growth opportunities to employees.
• Collaborate in marketing, sales and local industry events.
