Job summary

ESFM, the corporate facilities management division of Compass Group USA, seeks a Chief Engineer in Buckeye, AZ. You will oversee all safety of operating equipment and lead staff in plant and emergency procedures, while procuring parts for repairs and managing vendors.

You’ll develop a plant-wide preventive maintenance schedule, control the budget for parts and labor, and ensure wastewater/emissions compliance. Strong leadership and blueprints reading are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or military experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical and plumbing blueprints.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; leadership and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility.
• Develop and train staff in plant and emergency procedures.
• Procure repair parts for routine, preventative, and emergency repairs.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
• Create a plant-wide preventative maintenance schedule.
• Maintain the departmental budget for parts, supplies and labor.
• Ensure compliance with wastewater and emissions standards.
• Supervise outside contractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Support off-site plant startups and special projects.
