Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in DeSoto, Texas is seeking a Facility Engineering professional to provide technical support for facility and test cell systems across multiple buildings in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate project plans, manage outside contractors, and drive continuous improvements in electrical and mechanical facility projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction engineering/management or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or facility project management.
• High energy level and sense of urgency; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with passion for customer service, problem solving, learning and continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and logistical support to resolve complex facility and test cell issues.
• Schedule and coordinate the work of outside contractors and vendors ensuring safety and quality.
• Prepare and implement project plans and schedules.
• Provide guidance to facilities personnel and leadership for continuous improvement.
• Adhere to safety, quality, schedule, cost, and regulatory standards in duties.
• Participate in continuous improvement, space planning, and capacity projects.
• Communicate project status to appropriate personnel.
