Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Facility Engineer to provide broad mechanical engineering support for Housing Facilities Services (HFS) across 150+ campus buildings. You will oversee HVAC, BAS configuration, energy management, and fire-life safety, shaping design standards and project scope on major renovations and new construction.

You will serve as a subject matter expert on engineering matters, participate in green building initiatives, and represent HFS on campus committees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Colorado.
• 5 years of experience performing duties similar to listed.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, BAS, and fire-life safety across 150+ buildings.
• Lead project scoping, design input, and commissioning oversight.
• Develop and monitor energy/conservation strategies and metrics.
• Coordinate with project teams and campus committees on LEED goals.
• Supervise BAS team and ensure proper documentation and training.
