Job summary

Organogenesis is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support maintenance and operations at our GMP facility in Norwood, MA. You will lead reviews, manage on-site contractor activities, and drive quality, safety, and cost control across projects.

You’ll ensure project documentation is current for validation efforts and coordinate design, construction, commissioning and operation. You will own change controls, develop PM procedures, verify SOPs and drawings, and provide technical support to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; 5+ years in cGMP manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with clean room facility systems: HVAC, water and steam, power, and GMP utilities.
• Strong knowledge of calibration concepts.
• Familiar with clean construction techniques and control systems.
• Proficient with PC operating systems and industrial networking.
• Proficient with Excel and project management tools (MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Strong mechanical and process aptitude; hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate HVAC and cold room systems.
• Support maintenance and repair of clean utilities.
• Act as SME for documents and capital projects.
• Own change controls and ensure CMMS updates.
• Execute facilities maintenance projects.
• Develop PM procedures.
• Verify SOP and drawings accuracy.
• Ensure QA compliance and on-time task completion.
• Develop specifications and procedures to support operations.
• Oversee construction activities and safety.
• Support commissioning and startup of new facilities.
• Maintain project records and minutes.
• Provide technical support to maintenance teams.
