Job summary

Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness across 50+ urgent care locations. This hands-on, data-driven leader will manage maintenance operations, preventive maintenance, vendors, compliance, and capital planning while building a high-performing team.

The role is based in Chicago with significant field time. Qualifications include 7+ years in facilities management (healthcare preferred), strong knowledge of building systems and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of facilities management experience, including oversight of 20+ locations; healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, preventive maintenance, building codes, ADA, OSHA, and healthcare compliance.
• Proven budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, vendor negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Hands-on CMMS expertise, including workflow setup and process optimization; project management across repairs and site upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale facilities operations across 50+ urgent care locations; ensure safety, compliance, and readiness to support patient care.
• Establish consistent policies, service levels, site inspections, and preventive maintenance standards across the portfolio.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and capital planning; monitor facilities spend and investments; drive cost efficiency.
• Partner with operations, clinical leadership, compliance, finance, and executives on risk management and expansion.
