Job summary

Join Baxter’s Global Engineering team and help ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of the facilities and critical utility systems that support our manufacturing operations as an Engineering Specialist, Facilities and Critical Systems.

You’ll work with site engineers, review designs, and identify opportunities to improve facility performance, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance across Baxter’s global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical facility, utility, or systems engineering.
• 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• 8+ years in engineering leadership or senior technical role.
• Experience applying cGMP requirements in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, WFI, compressed air, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineering standards for facilities, utilities, and capital projects.
• Provide technical support for pharmaceutical facility and utility systems.
• Review facility designs and project plans for regulatory alignment.
• Support site upgrades and improvement projects.
• Monitor and improve reliability of facility and utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry practices and regulatory changes.
• Develop project documentation standards (SOWs, URSs, BODs).
• Participate in project gate reviews and capital planning.
