Job summary

ECS Southeast, LLP in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Facilities Assessment Principal to lead the Southeast Building Science & Infrastructure team. You will oversee PCA/FCA projects, mentor junior staff, and drive capital planning and asset management strategies for clients.

As a senior technical expert, you will manage complex building-system evaluations, align work with ECS standards, and communicate findings to owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 12+ years of related experience in facilities assessments, PCA/FCA, capital planning, or related consulting services.
• Licensed or certified in Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Architect (R.A.).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee facilities assessment projects (PCA/FCA) and capital planning initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and peer review on reports and field work.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, and staffing across concurrent engagements.
• Mentor junior staff and Associate Principals to support technical growth.
• Develop client relationships and lead discussions on findings and recommendations.
