Job summary

Peraton Health, State and Local Sector is seeking an Enterprise Architect – Senior Advisor to lead Facets on AWS for CMS Medicare operations. You will design, implement, and optimize cloud deployments, guide modules, and ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance while mentoring the team.

The ideal candidate brings deep Facets expertise, strong AWS cloud engineering skills, and experience with EDI, security controls, and SAFe agile practices in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA or 10 years with MS/MA.
• 8+ years hands-on Facets platform experience across modules.
• 5+ years AWS design/implementation experience (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC).
• Strong Oracle RDBMS experience with PL/SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with healthcare claims processing systems and EDI (X12 837/835/834).
• Proficient in Terraform and CloudFormation; DevSecOps and CI/CD.
• Docker/ECS/EKS and microservices architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP, CMS security requirements for cloud IT.
• Agile/SCRUM, preferably SAFe; monitoring tools like CloudWatch/Splunk.
• Windows Server administration related to Facets hosting; US Citizenship; Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of Facets environments on AWS.
• Provision infrastructure via IaC and automate environment provisioning.
• Ensure CMS performance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide Facets modules: Claims Adjudication, Membership, Provider Networks, Benefits, Pricing.
• Design EDI integration using Lambda, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis for workflows.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps practices and containerization.
• Collaborate with CMS stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation and runbooks.
• Triage production issues with root-cause analysis and remediation.
