Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a production welder to join our manufacturing team in the United States. You will set up and operate spot welders and H-clips for steel, form liners per blueprints, and position weldments using fixtures and rollers.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic math for stock and scrap, and effective communication with line teammates. Overtime and situational coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Understand written and verbal instructions.
• Read blueprints and routings and perform basic math to manage stock and scrap.
• Interact constructively with team members on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies; wear PPE as required.
• Sets-up and operates spot welders and H-clips for steel; performs changeovers with no line stoppages.
• Forms liners within quality and quantity standards per blueprints.
• Positions product weldments using welding fixtures, jigs and rollers where applicable.
• Understands functions of welder, H-clip machine and roller table to ensure safe, correct operations.
• Communicates with assembly line teammates to maintain production rate.
• Completes scrap sheets, return to stock, safety checks and first piece sheets.
• Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and participates in CI initiatives.
• Tracks changeover time, scrap, returns to stock metrics.
