Job summary

Flex Craft, LLC. seeks an experienced Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team in Minnesota. This 1st shift, hands-on role produces high-quality metal components and assemblies using fabrication equipment, hand tools, blueprints, and work instructions. Wage: $21-$23/hour.

You will collaborate with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and teammates to complete projects safely, accurately, and efficiently, with flexibility to assist in different production areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years metal fabrication or related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to independently read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience setting up and operating common fabrication equipment.
• Proficiency with measuring and inspection tools.
• Working knowledge of fabrication methods, materials, tolerances, and shop mathematics.
• Ability to identify problems and make sound decisions within the scope of the position.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively with a small team.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, work orders, and job travelers.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, bend, form, fit, and assemble metal components.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as plasma table, saws, drills, grinders, presses, shears, and related machinery.
• Perform welding and tack welding when required.
• Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Verify dimensions and inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality requirements.
• Identify material, equipment, or quality concerns and promptly communicate them to the appropriate team member.
• Complete assigned work within established production schedules.
• Maintain accurate production, material, and quality records.
• Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
• Help train or support less-experienced team members when requested.
• Participate in continuous-improvement efforts related to safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
