Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Chester, VA is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication to optimize manufacturing processes, improve safety, quality and productivity, and drive key performance indicators. You will lead layouts, equipment selection, and DFMs while coordinating with NPD and design teams to ensure manufacturability.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree, five years of industrial manufacturing experience, and three years in fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree required.
• Five years of experience in industrial manufacturing engineering.
• Three years of experience in fabrication processes (press, punch, cut aluminum/plastic profiles).
• Glass door/window assembly experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Analyze layout, space requirements, and workflow for maximum efficiency and safety.
• Provide technical input to NPD and DTV teams for manufacturability.
• Evaluate capital equipment investments and manage capital projects from quotes to implementation.
• Lead continuous improvement and apply DFMs to manufacturing methods.
