Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a Fabric Platform Engineer to own the production-grade Microsoft Fabric environment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across a 60+ country global shipping business. You will manage infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, access controls, and observability for internal reporting platforms.

The role requires senior independence, end-to-end platform ownership, and integration with enterprise data workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a platform/cloud engineering, data DevOps role.
• Hands-on Fabric platform administration and governance.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD for data artefacts.
• Infra-as-Code with Terraform for gateway and EC2 management.
• Scripting (Python or PowerShell) for automation.
• Knowledge of hybrid connectivity (VPN, VPC, subnets) and Entra ID RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fabric platform infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for Fabric artefacts across Dev/UAT/Prod.
• Define and enforce platform access model (Entra ID, RBAC, service principals).
• Manage App Owns Data embedding for Power BI (Optic / OneCape) with RLS.
• Monitor platform via CloudWatch, Fabric dashboards and gateway health.
• Onboard new data sources and external customers using standard patterns.
• Produce monthly Fabric cost and capacity reports with recommendations.
• Develop runbooks for BAU activities and incident response.
