Job description

We are seeking a Fabric Platform Engineer to support and enhance Microsoft Fabric platform environments within an enterprise data and analytics ecosystem. This role focuses on platform ownership, environment automation, governance, operational excellence, and deployment automation. The ideal candidate will help establish scalable platform standards, improve operational maturity, automate environment provisioning, and support enterprise adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft Fabric platform environments.
• Design, develop, and enhance automated environment provisioning processes.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting Microsoft Fabric deployments.
• Manage Fabric environment creation, configuration, and ongoing administration.
• Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and platform performance optimization.
• Configure, administer, and support Power BI environments and related services.
• Implement, maintain, and support Data Gateway solutions.
• Integrate data sources from enterprise platforms, including AWS, Microsoft 365, GCP, and other cloud environments.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual provisioning and operational tasks.
• Utilize GitHub-based source control, deployment processes, and platform provisioning workflows.
• Establish and support platform governance, standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to support platform initiatives and future analytics capabilities.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and operational readiness.
• Contribute to platform documentation, operational standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Fabric environments in an enterprise setting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric platform administration and management.
• Strong understanding of Power BI administration and platform support.
• Experience with OneLake administration and related platform capabilities.
• Experience managing Fabric capacity planning, utilization, and resource management.
• Experience implementing and supporting Data Gateway solutions.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
• Experience using GitHub for source control, deployment management, and automation workflows.
• Experience integrating cloud‑hosted data sources and enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft 365, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Experience supporting platform governance, operational standards, and enterprise platform adoption.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and deployment methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in evolving environments where processes and standards are still being established.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and platform automation frameworks.
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting and automation technologies.
• Experience reducing manual operational processes through automation initiatives.
