Job summary

Google's Raxium fab in Silicon Valley seeks a Fab Equipment Manufacturing and Operations Engineering Manager to lead equipment engineers and technicians, drive 24x7 reliability, and transition pilot manufacturing to high-volume production.

You will set priorities, develop performance expectations, and partner across teams to ensure robust equipment availability. The role also involves guiding capital procurement and strategic planning for advanced process development and fabrication expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of leadership experience within semiconductor manufacturing, transitioning new technologies or technology nodes to high-volume production.
• 7 years of experience in people management, leading multi-disciplinary teams in a fabrication environment.
• Experience maintaining semiconductor equipment sets within a high volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Equipment Engineers and Technicians, operating 24x7 to maintain, and repair all toolsets.
• Partner within the organization through the transition from pilot manufacturing to full-scale High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), fostering cross‑functional partnership and high productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment related process control, yield enhancement, defect reduction and equipment availability, to achieve robust and commercially viable manufacturing capabilities for Google's AI consumer hardware.
• Collaborate with Process and Integration Engineering to develop equipment solutions for new processes and capability improvements.
• Work with the teams to downselect the purchase, installation and bring up of new critical tools to meet production ramp.
