Job summary

Google's Raxium facility seeks a Senior Wet Chemical Process Equipment Engineer to support experiments and drive installation, upkeep, and optimization of wet benches, SRDs, and chemical handling systems. This role will be based in Fremont, CA, contributing to state-of-the-art display technology development.

In this position you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage hardware issues, improve tool uptime, and lift line yield while upholding safety and quality standards for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor processing equipment.
• Experience diagnosing hardware and software issues.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment processes and automation systems (PLCs, robotics).
• Master's or PhD preferred; 1 year of technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary equipment contact for wet process and wet etch modules to maximize tool availability and stability.
• Maintain, repair, and upgrade cleanroom equipment including automated wafer handling and chemical delivery systems.
• Lead advanced root-cause troubleshooting for tool-down situations and support new equipment installations and qualifications.
• Mentor the equipment engineering team and work with cross-functional groups.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering

8 years of semiconductor equipment experience

Experience diagnosing hardware and software issues

Experience with automation systems (PLCs, robotics)

1 year technical leadership (preferred)
