Job summary

Leidos is seeking a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. Implement, operate, and maintain load balancer tech across on‑premises and cloud resources, with PKI coordination and PKI certificate renewal support.

The role requires collaboration with engineers and architects, duties include upgrading systems, tuning performance, and providing after-hours support within a global enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Experience administering F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools to monitor and manage F5 appliances.
• Technical knowledge backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• Ability to work independently in support of customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication features on F5 are operational.
• Back up load balancing configurations and PKI certificates per policy.
• Notify customers before PKI certificate expiration and assist with renewals.
• Create and troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces.
• Develop and implement technical solutions with engineers/architects.
• Provide after-hours support to 24/7/365 IT Operations Center.
