Job summary

Leidos is seeking a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to support a large DoD contract. The role covers implementation, operations, and maintenance of load balancer technologies across on-premises and cloud resources.

The position offers multiple sites including Alexandria, VA, Omaha, NE, and Millington, TN. The candidate will ensure SSL/TLS offloading, PKI integration, and certificate management, while collaborating with engineers and architects to deliver reliable enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience administering F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of monitoring and managing F5 appliances with PKI integration.
• Experience backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Experience creating and troubleshooting load balanced IP spaces.
• Ability to work independently to support customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication on F5 appliances.
• Manage load balancing configurations and certificate backups per policy.
• Notify customers ahead of certificate expirations and assist renewals.
• Troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces and networks.
• Develop technical solutions with engineers and architects.
• Provide after-hours support for 24/7 IT Operations Center.
• Update operative procedures and documentation for triage.
