Job summary

Astrion seeks a Senior System Engineer to join the F-15 team in the Air Force Division at Wright Patterson AFB. The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree and a strong DoD background. Expect full-time on-site work with ~20% travel and a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities cover systems integration, risk management, airworthiness activities, and safety analyses per MIL-STD-882, with emphasis on reliability and maintainability throughout program milestones.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited Engineering degree; 10 years of relevant experience, 5+ in DoD.
• Previous platform experience in Aircraft Systems engineering is desired.

Responsibilities

• Review and update program documentation for systems integration requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, coordinate actions, and track risk metrics.
• Support Airworthiness criteria and board processes (MFR/MTC) and coordinate Airworthiness Review Board activities.
• Produce draft documentation to support airworthiness processes.
• Review BIT reports and failure data for accuracy and trends.
• Provide system integration guidance and evaluate design feasibility and system capability.
• Develop an effective Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) process aligned with IMP/IMS.
• Support safety reviews and hazard analyses per MIL-STD-882 and AF guidance.
