Job summary

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) seeks an External Auditor 3 to lead audits of programs, providers, and contractors, review financial records, assess internal controls, and ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS. You will collaborate with teams, prepare reports, and help strengthen financial processes.

You will mentor staff, guide audit planning, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5 years' auditing or accounting experience required, including 30 months of auditing per standards.
• 12 months' experience as audit team lead or auditor in charge or equivalent.
• Background check required; ability to travel within Ohio for day trips.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct audits of programs, providers, and contractors receiving funding or oversight.
• Review financial records, assess internal controls, and analyze data for compliance.
• Prepare audit reports, communicate findings, and offer recommendations to strengthen processes.
• Mentor staff, plan audits, and ensure quality in audit documentation and reporting.
