Job summary

PwC seeks a Financial Statement Audit Senior Associate to support audits for Energy, Utilities & Resources clients. You will evaluate financial statements, internal controls, governance, and risk management while guiding junior staff and applying audit methodologies with technical rigor.

Role emphasizes analyzing complex data, building client relationships, and delivering high-quality observations and recommendations aligned with engagement objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years of audit experience.
• CPA eligibility in the intended state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Execute external audit workstreams for energy, utilities, and resources clients.
• Analyze accounting policies and disclosures to identify misstatements.
• Review audit evidence, processes, and controls per standards.
• Interpret client data and trial balances to develop observations.
• Coordinate testing tasks, track deadlines across engagement workstreams.
• Build client relationships with clear status updates and timely responses.
• Guide junior team members by reviewing work and providing feedback.
• Apply GAAP/GAAS and financial reporting requirements to complex areas.
• Utilize audit tech and data analysis tools to evaluate financial info.
• Monitor progress, escalate risks, and adapt plans as needed.
