Job summary

Horizon3 is hiring a Senior Attack Engineer to drive external attack capabilities in NodeZero, our autonomous pentesting platform. You will develop scalable reconnaissance, parse vast external data, and automate end-to-end attack workflows while ensuring safety and realism across large external surfaces.

You will mentor teammates, contribute to research content, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to raise the bar on code quality and operational safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in offensive security, security research, or security-focused software engineering.
• Experience building reconnaissance and discovery systems at scale.
• Strong ability to parse large, messy external data into trustworthy information.
• Experience automating multi-step attack workflows end-to-end.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable reconnaissance workflows in production-grade Python.
• Research and parse large volumes of external data, turning it into actionable information.
• Develop robust parsing/enrichment for unstructured content and banners.
• Extend attack-path models to represent identities, assets, and relationships.
• Automate multi-step attack workflows from discovery to post-exploitation.
• Stand up realistic test environments to validate attack scenarios and provide demos.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and customer teams; document research and findings.
