Satyam Venture Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Exterior Systems Engineer in Charlotte, NC to lead the design of bumpers, fascias, and exterior trim while aligning with production processes.

You will work with suppliers and internal teams to meet weight, cost, timing, and quality targets, and guide testing, validation, and DVP&R activities using CAD/FEA tools. Hybrid in-office schedule is expected, with travel for launches and plant visits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or relevant engineering field.
• Experience solving complex technical challenges in product design and development.
• Hands-on automotive product launch experience, including prototype builds and production ramp-up.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with suppliers, design studios, and vehicle engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills to present technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• In-person attendance with a hybrid schedule; in-office 3 days/week.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for engineering design and developing exterior vehicle systems (bumpers, fascia, grilles, trim).
• Develop bumper/fascia standards and ensure production integration and milestones.
• Lead cross-functional teams with suppliers to set design direction and execution.
• Ensure targets for weight, cost, timing, and quality are met.
• Create and maintain design/analysis outputs (CAD, 3D packaging, CFD/FEA).
• Ensure safety/regulatory compliance and manufacturing process alignment.
• Oversee testing, validation, and issue resolution across prototypes and vehicles.
