Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in automotive exterior bumper components. You will design bumper parts in CATIA V5, develop system requirements, and release components through detailed designs.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in automotive exterior/bumper subsystems, with CAE interpretation and DFMEA/DVP&R documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in automotive exterior bumper components and subsystems.
• Experience interpreting CAE results and integrating into design.
• Understanding of DFMEA and DVP&R documentation.

Job description

• Design of automotive Bumper component parts in CATIA V5
• Develop and execute Bumper system requirements for Automotive 4 wheelers (Cars and SUVs)
• Complete and release Bumper and exterior components, sub-system and detail designs
• Interpret CAE simulation results and integrate recommendations into product design
• Collaborate with key Exterior and Bumper system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
• Responsible for technical documentation to include DFMEAs, DVP&R’s Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior / bumper components and subsystem
