White & Case LLP seeks a Senior Exports Controls and National Security Advisor to join the Trade group in our Washington, DC office. You will advise clients on export controls, licensing, and classification for cross-border transactions, while coordinating with global colleagues to address evolving regulatory challenges.

Qualificações

• Approximately three to six years of relevant law firm, government or in-house export controls experience.
• Substantial EAR & ITAR experience; familiarity with DOE nuclear regulations and CFIUS tech analysis is preferred.
• Hands-on experience preparing export control filings (CCATS, CJ determinations, licenses, VSDs, TAAs, MLAs, WDAs, DSP-5s, ITAR notices).
• Experience with encryption and technologies such as semiconductors and aviation.
• Strong analytical, research and writing skills; ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable advice.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on EAR/ITAR questions, licensing, and jurisdiction.
• Prepare export control filings and related documents (CCATS, CJ, licenses, VSDs, TAAs, MLAs, WDAs, DSP-5s).
• Advise on DOE 10 C.F.R. Part 810 and related authorizations.
• Conduct tech analyses for CFIUS filings and export control aspects of foreign investment reviews.
• Lead export control due diligence and negotiate related contract terms in M&A and other transactions.
• Draft and implement export compliance policies, procedures, and training.
