EOG Resources, Inc. seeks an Advisor-level Exploration Geologist to identify, evaluate, and mature exploration opportunities within our International New Ventures Team in Houston, TX.

This geologic role integrates data across disciplines to assess petroleum systems, generate prospects, and support subsurface teams. Ideal candidates will bring 15+ years of oil and gas prospecting experience, international exploration background, and a proven ability to mentor within an interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• MS degree in Geology and at least 15 years of oil and gas prospecting experience.
• Experience integrating geological, geophysical, petrophysical, geochemical data and well logs.
• Proficiency with Petra, Petrel, Kingdom, ArcGIS and ability to handle large data volumes.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and strong communication; team player.
• International exploration experience; conventional and unconventional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and mature exploration opportunities within our International New Ventures Team in Houston, TX.
• Integrate geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and geochemical data to assess petroleum systems and generate prospects.
• Support subsurface teams in maturing ongoing exploration projects and mentor junior staff.
