Job summary

Solomon Group is seeking an experienced experiential project estimator to lead estimating, budget development, and production pricing for live events, brand activations, and custom installations. This role transitions from travel and on-site work to a primarily office-based position.

You will collaborate with creative, business development, production, and finance to translate ideas into well-defined scopes and pricing, helping ensure successful execution on projects.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in producing live events or large-scale productions.
• Significant responsibility for project budgets, vendor negotiations, and production schedules.
• Strong knowledge of production costs, contingencies, and change order management.
• Advanced proficiency in budgeting tools and Excel or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of estimates for live events, brand activations, and experiential installations.
• Translate briefs into detailed production budgets and scope outlines.
• Build estimates for scenic fabrication, AV, lighting, rigging, labor, and transportation.
• Develop preliminary budgets, refine estimates, and manage change orders with producers.
• Document assumptions, exclusions, allowances, and contingencies clearly.
