Job summary

SolomonEdwards seeks a Senior Construction Estimator to support capital projects in the life sciences sector. You will develop and submit detailed estimates, review drawings and take-offs, and collaborate with design/validation teams to optimize costs.

Travel to project sites and meetings is required, with an emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery. You should have 7+ years of estimating experience in life sciences, proficiency with CSI formats, and strong Excel/Bluebeam capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction cost estimating experience focused on Life Science/Pharmaceutical estimating.
• Ability to use estimating software and historical cost data for projections.
• Experience with on-screen takeoff or Bluebeam and CSI estimating formats.
• Proficiency in Excel proposals and cost detail presentation.

Responsibilities

• Create well-organized, high-quality written estimates for projects.
• Review plans, specs, take-offs, I&C to understand estimate intent.
• Collaborate with design and validation teams to offer cost-effective alternates.
• Manage projects from estimating through construction administration.
• Travel occasionally for project visits or meetings.
