Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Senior Associate to support expense management for Agency and Field Experience, delivering budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close analysis. You will create actionable insights, improve reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to guide decisions.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, cross-functional partnering, and mentoring a junior Associate, using SAP, Anaplan, and Tableau to drive data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of FP&A, expense management, or financial analysis experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SAP, Anaplan, Tableau experience preferred.
• Ability to synthesize data into clear insights for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support expense management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close analysis for Agency and Field Experience
• Prepare and deliver recurring reporting and analysis with clear insights and recommendations
• Enhance analytics and dashboards to improve transparency into expense drivers, trends, key ratios
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand financial results, provide guidance, and support decision-making
• Leverage financial systems and tools (SAP, Anaplan, Tableau) to extract, validate, and analyze data
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and forecasting processes
• Support ad hoc analyses and cost-benefit analysis of strategic initiatives
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to a junior Associate
