Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a senior expediting professional to develop project-specific expediting strategies and staffing plans. The role focuses on managing discipline-specific teams, monitoring supplier progress, and mitigating delivery risks while maintaining strong client and supplier relations.

You will lead weekly expediting meetings, communicate delays, and coordinate resolution of overages, shortages, and damages.

Qualifications

  • Accredited four-year degree and twelve years of work-related experience, or sixteen years if non-degreed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a project-specific expediting strategy including expediting requirements for pre and post award activities.
  • Review project requirements and develop discipline-specific staffing plan and identify suitable skillsets.

  • Monitor supplier progress against contractual milestones and manufacturing schedules.

  • Coordinate third-party expeditors when assigned and lead weekly expediting meetings.
  • Communicate anticipated delays to Supply Chain, Project and Client management.
  • Coordinate resolution of OSD with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain expediting status and reports using the ERP system.
  • Understand supplier manufacturing processes, delivery risk, and contract-driven milestones.

Job Description
  • Develop a project specific expediting strategy including expediting requirements for pre and post award activities

  • Coordinate resolution of overages, shortages, and damages (OSD) with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead weekly expediting meetings to align expectations and schedules
  • Maintain strong working relationships with client and suppliers and actively participate in leadership and sponsorship meetings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date expediting status and reports using approved material management ERP system
  • Have a strong understanding of supplier manufacturing processes, delivery risk, and contract-driven milestones
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • May need to travel to attend to business related matters
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
