Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks a Senior Expeditor to monitor vendor progress and ensure timely shipment of equipment and materials. You will coordinate supplier data, track milestones, and support fabrication and assembly.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement within industrial construction, strong communication, and proficient Excel/PowerPoint. Project-based with 3–6 month duration; on-site at project sites; English fluent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of a degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in procurement in an industrial construction environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization skills, and ability to function within a project team.
• Ability to prioritize multiple activities on a daily basis.
• Strong computer skills to include Excel, and Power Point.
• Ability to speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Expedites purchase order to monitor/manage vendor progress to ensure timely shipment of equipment/material.
• Expedites supplier engineering data and drawings in accordance with the purchase order requirements.
• Coordinates and monitors supplier’s scheduled milestone activities and purchasing activity to ensure timely delivery.
• Interfaces with logistics team to coordinate timely shipment of equipment/material to the project site.
• Troubleshoots problem areas in purchase order execution and coordinates problem resolution or recommends solutions to management.
• Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
• Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
• Accountable for project procurement budget directly impacts upon revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.
• May provide guidance to less experienced team members.
