Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior Associate to join our National Tax Exempt (NExT) team in Orlando. You will collaborate with clients to provide customized tax compliance and advisory services and work with other tax team members to address complex issues.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, four years of relevant experience, and CPA exam eligibility is preferred. CLA offers wellness programs and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Four years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business services or consulting preferred.
• CPA exam eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to provide customized tax compliance and advisory services to Exempt Tax clients.
• Research and identify complex tax issues and apply exempt/tax principles.
• Manage engagements from scoping to delivery, overseeing timelines and budgets.
• Develop and leverage standardized templates and tools for efficiency.
• Utilize technology and automation to improve accuracy and client experience.
• Mentor associates and interns to build a high-performing Exempt Tax team.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Senior Associate role:

• Collaborate with clients to provide customized tax compliance and tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues
• Demonstrate exempt tax and corporate tax technical skills
• Manage engagements from scoping through delivery, with increasing ownership of timelines, budgets, and client relationships
• Learn new software and assist with development of standardized templates and tools
• Leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency, accuracy, and a best-class client experience
• Mentor associates and interns, helping build a high-performing, collaborative Exempt Tax team

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Four years of relevant experience required
• Experience in business services or consulting is preferred
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred
