Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior Associate to join the National Tax Exempt (NExT) team in Charlotte. You will collaborate with clients to provide customized tax compliance and advisory services and work with team members to resolve complex tax issues.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, four years of experience, and CPA exam eligibility is preferred. You will mentor associates and interns while leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Four years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business services or consulting is preferred.
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to provide customized tax compliance and tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues
• Demonstrate exempt tax and corporate tax technical skills
• Manage engagements from scoping through delivery, with increasing ownership of timelines, budgets, and client relationships
• Learn new software and assist with development of standardized templates and tools
• Leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency, accuracy, and a best-class client experience
• Mentor associates and interns, helping build a high-performing, collaborative Exempt Tax team
