Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior Associate for our National Tax Exempt (NExT) team in Massachusetts. You will collaborate with clients on tax compliance and advisory work, research complex issues, and guide engagements from scoping to delivery. You will mentor associates and use technology to improve efficiency and client experience.

Required: Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 4 years of relevant experience, and CPA exam eligibility preferred. Competitive wages reflect geography and experience.

CLA is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our National Tax Exempt (NExT) team.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Senior Associate role:

• Collaborate with clients to provide customized tax compliance and tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues
• Demonstrate exempt tax and corporate tax technical skills
• Manage engagements from scoping through delivery, with increasing ownership of timelines, budgets, and client relationships
• Learn new software and assist with development of standardized templates and tools
• Leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency, accuracy, and a best-in-class client experience
• Mentor associates and interns, helping build a high-performing, collaborative Exempt Tax team

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Four years of relevant experience required
• Experience in business services or consulting is preferred
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred
