Job summary

Fortified Risk Group is seeking an experienced Executive Protection professional to lead and execute protective operations for client events and high-visibility engagements. The role blends hands-on protection with event planning, team coordination, and top-tier client service.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, leadership, and situational awareness, capable of adapting to changing priorities while maintaining client safety, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of military service with an honorable discharge.
• Minimum of five years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Protective Service Detail (PSD) training with a DOD/Federal Certificate, or Dignitary Protection Training with an Agency Certificate, preferably POST-certified.
• Possession and maintenance of applicable licenses and certifications; HR218 preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in safe handling, storage, and use of firearms.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and administrative responsibilities.
• Ability to travel on short notice for events, emergencies, and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive protection during client events, arrivals, departures, and transitions.
• Supervise and support assigned EP Agents during event operations.
• Assign event-specific duties to ensure complete protective coverage.
• Provide coaching and feedback to assigned personnel.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings.
• Oversee protective advance work including site assessments and route planning.
• Prepare protective plans addressing schedules, venue layouts, and contingencies.
• Coordinate security arrangements with client representatives and venue staff.
• Plan secure transportation routes and driver assignments.
• Monitor for potential threats and adjust protective measures accordingly.
• Use de-escalation skills to manage disruptions.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies in coordination with EMS.
• Communicate operational updates to clients and staff.
• Prepare incident reports and shift logs.
