Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent; professional designations preferred.
• 10+ years of Inland Marine underwriting experience across multiple classes.
• Strong proficiency in underwriting, book management, marketing, and product development.
• Ability to coach underwriters and balance multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with strong written and verbal abilities; presentations to groups.
• Willingness to travel by plane or car as needed.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business, renewal business, and endorsement referrals and achieve profitability.
• Drive financial targets for growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with junior underwriters to ensure production and profitability.
• Develop new business opportunities with agents and build client partnerships.
• Provide input to portfolio, Distribution and Infrastructure strategy; monitor results.
