Job summary

Revolution Medicines is seeking an Executive Director of Clinical Development to shape and execute the clinical development plans for its oncology programs. Qualifications

• MD, PhD or similar advanced biomedical graduate degree with 13+ or more years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or academic background at the level of Associate Professor or higher.
• Extensive experience with data analysis, interpretation and clinical relevance in pharma/biotech.
• Proven track record designing and conducting multiple clinical trials in development programs, including Phase 1.
• Experience authoring clinical development strategies and bringing forward for governance.
• Strong understanding of GCP, ICH, FDA, EMA guidelines and regulations.
• Proven ability to steer regulatory interactions with Health Authorities (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to mentor a diverse team.
• Expertise building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Outstanding written and presentation skills; publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development plans aligned with scientific, regulatory and commercial goals.
• Oversee cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient program execution and milestones.
• Design and monitor clinical trials from early-stage to late-stage development.
• Engage with Health Authorities to support regulatory strategies and submissions.
• Interpret clinical data to inform strategic program decisions and risk management.
• Partner with research, regulatory affairs, clinical operations and commercial teams.
• Manage budgets, timelines and resource allocation for programs.
